Sandy's musical journey didn't begin with perfection—it began with persistence, curiosity, and a voice that simply refused to stay quiet.

She started off as a music major, who couldn't make the university symphony on the violin and was placed into choir and voice lessons. Singing came easily—almost inevitably—a gift she proudly traces back to her mother, whose church solos were famously impossible to ignore.

While studying opera, a single night changed everything. Visiting a jazz club with her sister, Sandy heard a classmate performing original music—raw, beautiful, and unmistakably personal. At that moment, she knew she didn't want to just perform music. She wanted to create it.

She left opera school, picked up a baritone ukulele, and began writing her own songs. Life, as it does, took her through seasons far from the stage. But music never left. During a tender chapter caring for her father after his stroke, Sandy would sing him to sleep each night—soft guitar, steady voice. That's where writing truly took root.

Today, Sandy brings all of that experience—classical training, jazz inspiration, lived emotion, and deep humanity—into everything she does. She is a soulful singer and performer, a thoughtful music teacher, and a guide for anyone who wants to find their own voice.
